Karni Singh, the last Maharaja of the princely state of Bikaner, born April 21, 1924, was (i) A member of the Lok Sabha for 25 years from 1952 to 1977; (ii) the first Indian to compete at five Olympic Games, which he did from 1960 to 1980, missing the Games of 1976.
