Saint Kabir's Couplet of the day  / आज का संत कबीर का दोहा

पाथर पूजे हरि मिले, तो मैं पूजू पहाड़। घर की चाकी कोई ना पूजे, जाको पीस खाए संसार॥ (Paathar pooje hari mile, main poojoon pahaad. Ghar kee chaakee koi na pooje, jaako pees khaaye sansaar.)

अर्थ : यदि पत्थर की मूर्ती की पूजा करने से भगवान् मिल जाते तो मैं पहाड़ कि पूजा कर लेता। लेकिन मूर्तियों से महत्वपूर्ण वो चक्की है, जिसमे पिसा हुआ अन्न लोगों का पेट भरता है; लेकिन उसे कोई नहीं पूजता।

If I could meet the God just by preaching the stone, then I would be preaching the mountain. But the stone gristmill, though more important than other forms of stone idols, no one preaches it despite eating its product day in and day out.
