When people make fun of their spouses in public, they aren't doing so to please the spouse but to display their own one-upmanship to others at the cost of displeasure of the spouse. But in the end such persons are exposed as small in the eyes of others as well as the spouse.
Hindi Translation: जब कोई अपने जीवनसाथी का दूसरों के सामने मज़ाक बनाता है, तो वह उसको खुश करने के लिए नहीं बल्कि दूसरों को अपनी नकली श्रेष्ठता का दिखावा करने के लिए ऐसा करता है। परन्तु अंततः ऐसा व्यक्ति स्वयं ही अपने जीवनसाथी व दूसरों की नज़रों में छोटा बन के रह जाता है।
