You don't feel bad when you willingly give away any amount of money to whomsoever; but you are badly pained after being deceived even for a penny. So, always beware of cheats, most of whom are either among or in the guise of near-and-dears. All of them are experts in the art of sweet talking.

Hindi Translation: स्वेच्छा से आप जितना भी धन लुटा दो, दुःख नहीं होता; परन्तु दो कौड़ी का भी धोखा खाने पर बहुत दुःख होता है। इसलिये धोखेबाजों से सदा सावधान रहिये; ऐसे अधिकाँश धोखेबाज़ या तो अपने ही होते हैं या फिर अपना होने का नाटक करते हैं। मीठा बोलना इनकी सबसे बड़ी कला होती है।
