Sivaji Ganesan (1 October 1927 – 21 July 2001), was an Indian stage and film actor and was one of the most respected in India.

His full birthname was Chinnaiahpillai Ganesan .

He progressed from a actor since his childhood to the filmdom with such an authority that the Tamil cinema passed through a with him.

His career spanned close to decades during which he has acted in nearly 300 films in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and .
