Sachin Dev Burman (1 October 1906 - 31 October 1975), also known as Burman da, was one of the most famous music for Hindi movies.

One of the most famous songs sung by Talat Mahmood was " jiske liye....."

The song "Mera Beet Gaya ..." sung by Dutt was her breakthrough song into the film industry.

In 1957, S D Burman fell out with and adopted her younger sister Asha Bhosle as his lead female singer.
