LAL BAHADUR SHASTRI August 05, 1965:   Although border skirmishes had started ever since April, 1965, about 30,000 Pakistani soldiers crossed the Line of Control dressed as Kashmiri locals headed for various areas within Kashmir. That perhaps was enough to say that the real Indo-Pak war of 1965 had started on this day, though India took a long time to take it as a war.
