July 19, 1959 - Rani of Aera, a Lockheed L-1049G Super Constellation carrying 46 people (39 passengers and seven crew) crashed on approach to Santacruz Airport in conditions of poor visibility due to rain. The aircraft suffered damage beyond repair and was written off. There were no fatalities.
