INDIA - SPACE PROGRAMME - GSAT June 28, 2017:   GSAT-17:   It was launched on this day to carry payloads in normal C-band, extended C-band and S-band for the purpose of providing various communication services. It also has equipment for meteorological data relay and satellite-based search and rescue services being provided by earlier INSAT satellites.
