SHYAMA PRASAD MUKHERJEE May 11, 1953:   A massive satyagraha was launched in opposition to the special status granted to Kashmir. When he went to visit Kashmir in 1953, he was arrested there on this day and died as detenu on June 23, 1953, and No post-mortem was ordered.
