His fanatically communal and divisive vision and orientation was a great motivating factor that resulted in to the most unfortunate (i) conversion of majority of peace loving and democracy-oriented Indian muslims into fanatics and (ii) division of India on communal lines and create an independent state for the Muslims of India - and that is what created the Pakistan.
