MANGALYAAN The Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM) September 24, 2014:   Mangalyaan started orbiting panet Mars since this date, after a 298-day transit to this planet. It is the first Asian Nation to reach Mars orbit, and the first nation in the world to do so in its first attempt.
