satellite has completed its performance verification and
started its operations.

Description |
- India's first dedicated space observatory.
- It was launched on PSLV-C30, from the space port of
Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh.
- It is aimed at studying celestial objects.
- PSLV-C30 carried Astrosat along with six other
co-passengers, one satellite each from Indonesia and Canada,
and four nano satellites from the US. The Mission Director
Jai Kumar elucidated on the steps taken to make it a
successful mission.
