- 1740 - 1756:
He was the Nawab of Bengal during this period.
- 1728:
Shuja-ud-Din promoted him to Faujdar (General) of Rajmahal
and entitled him as Alivardi Khan.
- 1733:
He was
assigned as the Naib Nazim (Deputy Subahdar) of Bihar.
- April 10,
1740: In the Battle of Giria, he
defeated and killed Shuja ud-Din's successor, Sarfaraz Khan.
- March 03, 1741:
He defeated Rustam Jang, Deputy Governor of Orissa.
- 1744:
Alivardi and his General Mustafa Khan planned a conspiracy
to kill Bhaskar Pandit, one of his major Maratha opponents,
the other one being Janoji Bhonsle.
- 1751:
The Maratha raids continued until 1751, when a peace-treaty
was signed.
