- 1907 - He matriculated at Christ's
College, Cambridge, England.
- 1910 - He qualified for his Bachelor of
Arts degree at Cambridge.
- 1912 - He completed a fourth
honours degree in mechanical sciences. Later, he was
conferred with DPhil in mathematics and a gold medal.
- December 1912 - He returned to India
after completing his education in Cambridge, England.
- 1913 - he was appointed Vice Principal
of Islamia College, Peshawar
- 1917 - He was made Principal of the
same college.
- October 1917 - he was appointed Under
Secretary to the Government of India in the Education
Department.
- October 21, 1919 - He became headmaster
of the High School, Peshawar.
- 1924 - He completed the first volume of
his book, Tazkirah, which is a commentary on the Qur'an in
the light of science.
- 1925 - Tazkirah was nominated for the
Nobel Prize in 1925, subject to the condition it was
translated into one of the European languages, which
suggestion was rejected by Mashriqi.
- 1930 - He founded the Khaksar Movement.
- 1932 - He resigned, taking
his pension, and settled down in Lahore.
- July 20, 1943 - An assassination
attempt was made on Muhammad Ali Jinnah, when the
involvement of Khaksar movement members was suspected.
- Novemebr 04, 1943 - The court dismissed
the association of Khaksar movement with the assassination
attempt.
- August 14, 1947 - After Pakistan was
declared an independent nation, Mashriqi opted to stay in
Pakistan.
- 1950 to 1962 - His major achievement
while in Pakistan was that he was arrested and imprisoned at
least 5 times on various charges, none of which could ever
be established and he was acquitted in each case.
