Hails from Satna district in Madhya Pradesh.
The first combat pilot along with two of her colleagues,
Mohana Singh, and Bhawana Kanth.
The trio was inducted into the Indian Air Force fighter
squadron in June 2016. They were formally commissioned by
Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar.
She had a few hours of flying experience in the flying
club of her college, which inspired her to join the IAF.
In 2018, she became the first Indian woman pilot to take
a solo flight in a MiG-21.

Force to fly a fighter aircraft solo. Flying Officer Chaturvedi
flew a MiG-21 Bison on this day from Air Force Station Jamnagar

She along with Mohana Singh and Bhawana Kanth, all flight
cadets, were commissioned into IAF at Dundigal, near Hyderabad,
after their graduation.
