- 1944-1945: He served
briefly during this perios as Prime Minister of Jammu and
Kashmir state.
- 1947: He helped draft the
constitutions of Burma.
- February 1948: He prepared
the initial draft of the Indian Cnstitution by this time.
- November 26, 1949: The
draft Constitution of India prepared by him was debated,
revised and finally adopted by the Constituent Assembly of
India on this day and was signed by the President of the
Constituent Assembly,
Dr. Rajendra Prasad.
- 1949-1952: He was also
India's representative to the United Nations Security
Council.
- June 1950: He served as the
President of the United Nations Security Council in this
month.
- February 1952: From this
time till his death, he was a judge of the Permanent Court
of International Justice, The Hague.
