manufacturing motor cycles in joint venture with Honda of

- 1986: Hero Cycles entered the Guinness
Book of Records as the largest manufacturers of bicycles in
the world.
- 2002: By this time. the
Hero Group became world's largest producers of bicycles and
motor bikes.
- March 2005: Awarded
the Padma Bhushan for his contribution to
trade and industry.

Award by All India Management Association.
