- He was the first
Indian to hold the position of a
Professor at the Elphinstone
Institution in 1850 at the
age of just 24 years.

philosophy in Mumbai.

- He was a Member of Parliament (MP) in the U.K. House
of Commons.
- July 06, 1892:
- He became the
first Asian to be a British
MP.

- In 1867, he helped establish the
