Description |
This day witnessed a
phenomenon, considered by many Hindus as a miracle, in which
statues of the Hindu deity Lord Ganesha allegedly "drank" milk
offerings. Despite knowing very wll that it was neither possible
nor feasible, millions of Hindus, including he well educated
ones, took the milk in vessels to various temples to offer the
same to Lord Ganesha for quenching his thirst. Because the
phenomenon was not well founded, very soon proved to be a farce
and the idea faded away and such miracle did not happen anytime
again. |
