- 25 Congress MPs
suspended for indiscipline. Lok Sabha
Speaker Sumitra Mahajan suspended 25 Congress MPs for five days
for repeatedly disrupting the proceedings of the House. The
Speaker, after several warnings, “named” 25 Congress members who
were in the Well demanding the resignation of external affairs
minister Sushma Swaraj and Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje over the
Lalit Modi row and Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan over
the Vyapam scam. Throughout the monsoon session, which was
entirely washed out without passing even a single bill, had been
a story of total indiscipline.

The monsoon session
of the Rajya Sabha of the Indian Parliament
was entirely washed out today when it ended with no
business allowed to be conducted by the Congress
party which kept demanding the resignation of
certain Ministers of the BJP. Some regard this
development as the beginning of the end of democracy
in India.
- March 22, 2017:
19 Opposition Members of Legislative Assembly from
Maharashtra assembly were today suspended by Speaker
Haribhau for creating ruckus during Budget presentation in
the House on March 18.

The action has been taken against these MLAs for
showing banners and placards, not following rules,
burning Budget copies outside assembly. Ten of them are
from Congress while 9 are from NCP. The MLAs have been
suspended for the period of 9 months till 31st December,
2017. Opposition members had created ruckus in the
Maharashtra Legislative assembly and council over the
farm loan waiver issue.
