Sabha, the lower house of the Indian Parliament, has passed
the Finance Bill, 2017 to give effect to the financial
proposals of the Central Government for the financial year
2017-18.
The Government has capped cash transactions at two
lakh rupees instead of three lakh rupees.
Finance Minister Arun Jaitley had moved 40
amendments to the bill.
Income tax payers would have to declare their
Aadhaar Card number in all tax returns filed from 1st of
July, 2017 onwards. They would also have to link the
Aadhaar number with the PAN before the July deadline.
