  • March 22, 2017:   The Indian Cabinet approved the amendment to Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education - RTE Act, 2009. The amendment will ensure that all teachers acquire minimum qualifications and extend period for training for 4 years upto 31st March, 2019. It will enable in-service untrained elementary teachers to complete training to have minimum standard of qualifications.
