- 23 June 1757: The battle
took place at Palashi on the banks of the Bhagirathi River,
about 150 kilometres (93 mi) north of Calcutta.
Siraj-ud-daulah lost despite greater number and srength of
his soldiers mainly because his deputies and commanders were
easily purchasable by bribes.The battle was ended in 40
minutes.
