- Children's Day in India is observed on November 14 every
year to mark the birth anniversary of Jawaharlal Nehru, the
first Prime Minister of India, who used to be called 'Chacha
Nehru', i.e. Uncle Nehru, owing to his profound love for
children, whom Nehru considered as the future of the nation.
