at the World Youth Chess Championship (under-10 girls'
division).

World Youth Chess Championship (under-12 girls).

- May 27, 2002 - From 2002 through 2008, Humpy
held the record as the youngest woman ever to become a
grandmaster (not merely a Woman Grandmaster), which she
achieved on this day at the age of 15 years, 1 month, 27 days, beating
Judit Polgár's previous mark by three months; however, this
record has since been surpassed by Hou Yifan.
- 2003 - She won the 10th Asian Women's
Individual Championship and the Indian Women's Championship,
both held in Calicut.
- 2004 - She competed with the boys in
the 2004 World Junior Championship, which was won by Pentala
Harikrishna.
- 2005 - She won the North Urals
Cup, a round-robin tournament held in Krasnoturyinsk, Russia
featuring ten of the strongest female players in the world
at the time.
- 2006 - She participated in the
Women's World Chess Championship, but was eliminated in the
second round.
- 2008 - In the Women's World Chess
Championship 2008 she made it to the semifinals, but was
beaten by Hou Yifan.
- 2009-2011 - She participated in the
FIDE Women's Grand Prix 2009–2011 and finished in overall
second position, in turn qualifying as challenger for
Women's World Chess Championship 2011. Hou Yifan won the
match, winning three games and drawing five.
- January 31, 2010 - Her FIDE
Elo rating was 2614,
placing her number two in the world for women
players (behind Judit Polgár). She became the
second female player ever, after Judit Polgár, to
exceed the 2600 Elo mark.
