- January 28, 1918 - He published a
pamphlet titled Deshvasiyon Ke Nam Sandesh (A Message to
Countrymen), which he distributed along with his poem
Mainpuri Ki Pratigya (Vow of Mainpuri). To collect funds for
the party looting was undertaken on three occasions in 1918.
The incident is known as the "Mainpuri Conspiracy"
against the British King Emperor.
- November 01, 1919
-
the Judiciary Magistrate announced the judgement against all
accused in Mainpuri Conspiracy case and declared Bismil as one of the absconders.
- January 01, 1925 - A pamphlet giving
the manifesto of the Hindustan Republican Association was
circulated.
- August 09, 1925 - Bismil executed a
plan for looting the government treasury carried in a train
at Kakori, near Lucknow in U.P. This historical event
happened on this day
and is known as the Kakori conspiracy.
- September 16, 1927 - Following 18 months of legal process
in Kakori Conspiracy case, Bismil,
Ashfaqulla Khan, Roshan Singh and Rajendra Nath Lahiri
were sentenced to death. On this day, a final appeal for
clemency was forwarded to the Privy Council in London but
that also failed.
- 1930 - Under the influence of Mahatma Gandhi, he joined the
Indian National Congress and actively
participated in Civil Disobedience Movement.
- December 19, 1997 - Govt. of India
issued a postal stamp in his honour on the
occasion of his birth centenry.

both against British Empire.
- He wrote in Hindi and Urdu using pen names Ram, Agyat
and Bismil. But he was most popular with his last name ‘Bismil’.
- He got inspiration from Satyarth Prakash,
a book written by Swami Dayanand Saraswati.
- He also had a confidential connection with Lala
Har Dayal through his guru Swami Somdev,
a renowned preacher of Arya Samaj.
- Bismil was one of the founder
members of the revolutionary organisation Hindustan
Republican Association.
- The famous poem "Sarfaroshi ki Tamanna"
is also popularly attributed to him.
