- He is best remembered for his Hindi and Punjabi
literature.
- Born in Phillaur, Jallandhar, Punjab, India.
- He was a missionary of traditional Hinduism (Sanatana
dharma).
- Later, he became famous as an astrologer.
- His novel in Hindi, BHAGYAWATI, was published in 1988,
after his death. It largely portrayed matters related to
women's rights.
- He is also said to have translated the most famous Hindu
Devotional Song "Om Jai Jagadish hare" into
Punjabi language, sometime in June, 1863.
