  • March 1909:   He was initiated by the Holy Mother at Jayrambati.
  • January 1910:   He joined the monastery at Chennai.
  • January 1916:   He was initiated into sannyasa by Swami Brahmananda.
  • 1932:   He founded Ramakrishna Mission Seva Pratishthan in Kolkata.
  •  1922:   He became a Trustee of the Ramakrishna Math and a member of the Governing Body of the Ramakrishna Mission.
  • 1929:   He was called back to India from USA where he was sent for preaching Vedanta at the San Francisco monastery, and was made the Joint Secretary of the Order.
  • May 1938:   He took the charge of the General Secretary of the Order.
  • March 1962:   He was made a Vice President of the Order.
  •  August 04, 1962:   He became the President of the Order.
  • 1963:   As the President of the Order, he presided over the Birth Centenary Celebrations of Swami Vivekananda.
