mission.
- February 1999: He received
the Gandhi Peace Prize, conferred on the
Ramakrishna Mission.
- 2000:
He declined the Padma Vibhushan in 2000 as it
was conferred on him in his individual capacity and not for the
Mission.

India Post released a postage stamp in the
denomination of Rs 5 to commemorate his 100th birth
anniversary at Kolkata.
