1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal, Canada.
- He gave a new dimension to long jump in India,

distance of 8.07 metres for a new Asian record.
- He won gold medals in various
competitions at Tokyo, Hiroshima, Kobe.
- He is one of the finest athletes India
has ever produced.
