- An explosive device planted at Bisco Memorial
School, in Lal Chowk, Srinagar, caused extensive
damage to the building.
- March 17, 1990:
- Attack on Sonawar School, Srinagar:
- Attempt was made to set ablaze Burn Halt School,
affiliated to the local Catholic mission.
- May 23, 1990:
- Attack on Bisco Memorial School at Lal
Chowk, Srinagar:
- An explosive device was hurled into the compound
of the school. Some unknown terrorists also
asked the school authorities to impart
Arabic/Islamic education to students.

- Explosion at the school premises forced closure
of Christian missions/schools.

- Attack on Bisco Memorial School at Lal
Chowk, Srinagar:
- An explosion occurred at the school.
- January 06, 1993:
- SOPORE AMBUSH a.k.a. Sopore Massacre:
- It refers to the alleged killing of 55 Kashmiri
civilians in exchange of fire by the Indian Border
Security Force (BSF) and the militants, who ambushed
a BSF patrol, in the town of Sopore in Kashmir on
this day.

- Attack on Bisco Memorial School at Lal

- Terrorists set fire to the school hostel.
- December 05, 2014:
- Terrorist attack at Army camp at Mohra:
- 10 security men were killed.
- August 05, 2015:
- Paki Terrorist, Lashkar-e-Taiba operative
Mohammad Naved a.k.a. Qasim / Usmaan, was captured
alive on this day after an attack on a
Border Security Force convoy in Udhampur
area in Jammu division.

- Pampore Encounter at the EDI Building
- 48-hour of gunbattle at Pampore, on the
outskirts of Srinagar, finally ended with the Army
killing all three terrorists holed up in the
Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI)
building. The operation was launched on February 19
evening after the terrorists attacked a CRPF convoy
on the Srinagar-Jammu national highway and took
refuge in the multi-storey EDI complex.

- Curfew restrictions lifted from the Valley,
except for some areas, after a record 51-day
continuous curfew following the death of Hizbul
Mujaideen commander Burhan Wani on July 08, 2016.
- September 18, 2016:
- Terrorist attack on Uri Army Camp
- 18 soldiers were killed in a militant attack in
Uri area of Baramulla district.
- It was an attack by four heavily armed
terrorists near the town of Uri in Jammu and
Kashmir.
- It was reported as "the deadliest attack
on security forces in Kashmir in two decades".
- No group has claimed responsibility for the
attack, though the militant group Jaish-e-Mohammed
is suspected of being involved in the planning and
execution of the attack.

- October 10, 2016:
- Pampore Encounter at the EDI Building
- An encounter is on between terrorists and
security forces inside a government building in
Pampore near Srinagar. Some terrorists had entered
the building of Entrepreneurship Development
Institute in the wee hours today and fired upon the
security forces triggering an encounter. An Army
jawan was injured in the exchange of fire. A portion
of the building also caught fire. A joint operation
is on to neutralise the militants. Two to three
terrorists are believed to be inside the multistorey
concrete building now cordoned off by security
forces from all sides.

- Pampore Encounter at the EDI Building
- The 56-hour gunbattle between security forces
and militants holed up in a government building at
Pampore on the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway ended
this day afternoon with both the terrorists hiding
there shot dead.
- October 30, 2016:
- Attacks on and Burning of Schools:
- Unknown arsonists on this day set ablaze a
school building in the central government-run
Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in Aishmuqam of Anantnag
district in south Kashmir, pushing the number of
educational institutes gutted in mysterious fires to
25 during the ongoing unrest. However, the fire was
extinguished quickly and a major damage to the
building was prevented. Authorities said they have
identified miscreants who were torching schools in a
planned conspiracy.
- July 10, 2017:
- Attack on Amarnath Yatra Pilgrims:
- The attack on a bus carrying pilgrims to the
Amarnath shrine was carried out by around 5 men of
the terrorist organisation Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jammu &
Kashmir. It was masterminded by Ismail, a Lashkar
operative from Pakistan. Terrorists had opened fire
on a bus carrying pilgrims in the Anantnag district,
killing at least seven and injuring 19.
