WORLD UFO DAY |
| Date(s) of
the event(s) |
July 02, Every Year |
|
Description |
- Objective is to gain support in forcing governments to "tell
the truth about earthly visits from outer space
aliens.
- This day also commemorates the supposed UFO crash in the
1947 Roswell UFO Incident, which took place
in the USA in 1947, when an airborne object crashed in New
Mexico, on July 7, 1947.
- Ufology is the array of subject matter
and activities associated with an interest in unidentified
flying objects (UFOs).
- UFOs have been subject to various investigations over
the years by governments, independent groups, and
scientists. But over the last about 6 decades, their
interest in Ufology has faded a lot.
- Proponents of ancient astronaut hypotheses often
maintain that humans are either descendants or
creations of extraterrestrial beings who landed on
Earth thousands of years ago.
- Even the floating stones bridge from Kanyakumari
to Lanka in India might also have been the
handiwork of the aliens on the earth.
- In Hindu mythology, the gods and their
avatars travel from place to place in flying
vehicles (variously called "flying chariots",
"flying cars" or Vimanas).
- There are many mentions of these flying machines in the
Ramayana.
- Below are some examples:
- Pushpaka or Dandumonara; the flying
machine (flying palace) of king Rāvana of Lanka.
It is the first flying vimana mentioned in Hindu
mythology (as distinct from the gods' flying
horse-drawn chariots).
- Pushpaka was originally made by Vishwakarma
for Brahma the Hindu god of creation,
later Brahma gifted it to Kubera, the
God of wealth, but was later stolen by his
half-brother, the demon king Ravana.
- A quotation from Mahabharata says "Bhima
flew with his Vimana on an enormous ray which was as
brilliant as the sun and made a noise like the thunder
of a storm".
- The Vaimānika Shāstra (shastra on
the topic of Vimanas; sometimes also rendered Vimanika,
Vymanika) is an early 20th-century Sanskrit text
on aeronautics obtained by psychic channeling
and automatic writing. It makes the claim that the
vimānas mentioned in ancient Sanskrit epics were
advanced aerodynamic flying vehicles, similar to a
rocket.
- Flying chariots employed by various gods in the
Vedas: the Sun (Sun chariot) and Indra and several other
Vedic deities are transported by flying wheeled chariots
depicted to be pulled by animals, usually horses.
- One example in the Mahabharata is that the Asura
Maya had a Vimana measuring twelve cubits in
circumference, with four strong wheels.
- The Mahabharata compliments "the all-knowing
Yavanas" (sarvajnaa yavanaa), as the creators
of the vimanas: The Yavanas, O king, are all-knowing;
the Suras are particularly so.
- Let this day be the motivation for further exploration
of the Vimanas of ancient India. In all probability
UFOs might be nothing else but extra-terrestrial vimanas as
mentioned in Hindu Vedas and epics.
