Hobbyshobby invites you all to join us in remembering our friend, philosopher and guide, R.P. Billimoria, whose unexpected death this morning at the age of 88+ from heart problems has shocked and saddened us all.

He was a scholar by nature. A synopsis of his qualifications: B.Sc. (Hons); Nuffield Fellow (Social Sciences) Birmingham University, UK; Fellow, Institute of Directors, UK; Chartered Fellow, Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, UK; Fellow, National Institute of Personnel Management and Fellow, AIMA.

He was currently the CMD, Billimoria Consultants (P) Ltd. He was previously Chairperson, Public Enterprises Selection Board; Indian Airlines; Steel Authority of India Limited and others, Director of Personnel Tata Steel. He has won various awards such as Bihar Governor’s Gold Medal for his work with the Cooperatives; Jehangir Ghandy Gold Medal for Industrial Peace; John Memorial Gold Medal for contributions to Management Research and HRD and Dadabhai Naoroji Millenium Lifetime Achievement Award, 2003.

He had an impeccable record of his service to the community for over 6 decades.

We and you all will always miss his company and pray to the almighty for affording peace to his sacred soul and courage to all his nears and dears to bear this irreversible loss.
