Vinod Khanna (born 6 October 1946) is an Indian actor, film producer and .

He was born in , British India (now in Pakistan).

After of India and Pakistan, soon after his birth, his family shifted to Mumbai.

He acted in multi-starrer films often playing supporting and roles in hit films.

Having peaked in Bollywood, he became a follower of the spiritual teacher Osho ( ) and left the film industry in 1979 for eight years.
