1.   Journeying Home

Think not home is where the hearth is;

Think that home is where the heart is.

All of us have a distant home

For none of us is the world a home.

Days come and go, months come and go,

The day of reckoning God does know.

How shall we prepare for the day?

How shall we dispel all our dismay?

Forget not the earth is just a haven;

By no means it is a heaven.

The pleasures of this world we may miss

If it all leads to heavenly bliss.

When we see the end of our race,

When we see God face to face,

When we are called to eternal bliss-

That is the day we should never miss.

Wonderful are the ways of God,

Inscrutable are the secrets of God,

Everlasting is the peace of heaven,

Never- changing is the happiness of heaven.

We are pilgrims on this earth

From the very day of our birth.

Where do we aspire to reach

If not heaven’s beautiful beach?

In God’s arms we will not quiver,

In God’s lap we will not shiver.

How good a Father we do have!

How strong a Protector we do have!

Sing O my soul, dear God’s praises,

Thank O my heart, dear Lord’s graces.

So long as I live in this world

Let me work for the sake of my God.

O Lord, enlighten me I pray,

So that the powers of darkness never may

Cloud my vision and hide from me

Thy truth and glory I want to see.

Listen, O Lord, I am calling,

Wait, O Lord, I am coming,

Bless, O Lord, I am kneeling,

I thank thee, Lord, for everything.
