5.  Righteous Heart

Forcible ways make not an end of evil,

They hold in check for sometime the devil.

Change of heart and mind is the only solution,

For that there should be a strong resolution.

Man and woman are born equal.

Who on earth can make them unequal?

Woman is not at man’s mercy,

Woman is often the fountain of mercy.

If everything can be done with money,

Then anything can be done for money.

This is nothing but a perverted notion;

Man has to think of it with utmost caution.

There is enough in the world for everyone’s need,

But there is not enough for everyone’s greed.

So you have to limit your desires to your need

And shun those meant to satisfy your greed.

Wrong is wrong whoever does it,

Right is right whoever snubs it.

It is not a question of the person concerned,

It is a question of the morality concerned.

Opulent people often look corpulent,

But the corpulent are not often very competent.

For they are not very agile in action

Corpulence may even lead to inaction.

Those who have a desire for excellence

Will readily praise others having some excellence.

Such people have an ability to realize it

Because they make others models for realizing it.

There are people making fabulous fortunes on earth,

And there are people making priceless treasures on earth.

The former at their children’s hands to perish,

And the latter for their progeny to cherish.

Some don’t hesitate to give up essential liberty,

For they want to obtain a little temporary safety.

They deserve neither liberty nor safety,

For they have no proper sense of priority.

Might is right is the order of the day,

The weak are subdued by the mighty to-day.

Moral values are terribly under decay;

The trend is causing much dismay.

Some people vainly boast of aristocracy

But it all becomes sheer hypocrisy.

When high social standard has been misused

And false claims for glory are being raised.

Some people build castles in the air

Some others build monuments with flair.

The former vanishes in no time

The latter will stand the test of time.
