God is Infallible !

Once, a young boy had a beautiful dream. He saw that God has come to his house in a very cheerful disposition.  The boy became very excited and hoped that with God visiting him, all his problems which he was facing since long, shall be over just within a couple of days and that he shall be able to lead a good life - bereft of all bad things he was beset with till now.  Behold ! God comes to him smiling. As He approached the boy, He asked, "My dear son! What can I do for you? Tell me with all your sincerity and  I  will give it to you right now."

What will I ask? The boy was in a dilemma and wonderstruck. Suddenly he picked up from his mind one of his great desires that he had been cherishing in his heart since long. Recollecting that with joy, he raised his voice and said, "Oh God!  I know that you are omnipotent, all powerful and all embracing. You could do whatever you wish. I have a desire. Can you please fulfill that, which shall make me happy forever?  Please take away 'nights' from our life?"

God smiled, but looked at him as if a little bit wondered, as the boy did not think over the matter even for a minute and started asking for. However, He asked the boy, 'Yes ! Go ahead; just tell me what else do you want from me?  The boy rubbed his eyes a little bit delicately and said, “Please take away nights from our lives!”  God was also perplexed on his silly wish; however, he asked him, “Why should I take away nights from earth, why they are troubling you ?”

Boy opened his heart to clarify, "As the day comes to a close, my mother forces me to stop playing. Stop watching TV and listening to music and start your study…….  If there are no nights, I could play for a longer time, have a lot of gossip with my friends or watch TV programmes of my choice endlessly. Not only that, I am afraid of going out at night, as darkness dreads me a lot like a ghost. Devils and thieves may also attack us at night.  Therefore, I feel that nights are unnecessary.  Let there be always day, always light………."

God smiled and said, “Yes! Let it happen the way you wish……"  Saying so, God disappeared. Suddenly, the reality of night also disappeared slowly. Everywhere, every place was full of light!  The darkness had paved the way for the eternal light.  But as time passed, even the light became troublesome and it started bothering him.

As nights disappeared, there were no days. As days disappeared, there were  no holidays. The boy had to study all the time. Since there were no days, dates did not change, even his birthday was not celebrated. Always days and full of light. He was fed up with this unending days and lights only.  In such a situation, he could either go to school for attending classes or just play or watch TV etc. Just as nobody can eat only sweets always, taking salty or sour things also becomes necessary, the same way, he too got tired of days and lights only. Now, he was not happy with his own wish and wondered at his foolishness of asking God such a silly demand. The joy of sunrise and sunset were just good old memories. Plants and human beings got exhausted at incessant sunshine. The cool breeze which used to caress all the creatures in the mornings and evenings had gone forever.

Realising at what horrible thing he has done  in a hurry, the boy cried aloud. He realized that due to the absence of nights, he could not go and enjoy his comfortable sleep under the blanket in cold mornings. Peaceful sleep and attractive dreams had also become the  memories of the past. He was really yearning to rewind the old but well balanced cycle of nature. Then he also thought that God is bountiful and merciful, he should try asking God if the old system of days and nights could be resumed so that the joys of seeing morning sun and evening purple colours of lights at the times of sunset could be seen and enjoyed again …… and the various different sizes of moon appearing at night could also be glanced and enjoyed.

Keeping all these things in minds, he sat on a mat and called up the Lord and cried out, "Oh my God!  Please give me nights also. Return to me my beautiful nights, as days alone do not fascinate me anymore." Suddenly, the young boy woke up from his dream.

Nights give rise to the days, mornings to noons, and slowly noons to evenings and ultimately, evenings to nights.  Similarly, weeks and months pass by making way for the years and so on. If there are no nights, days would not be as beautiful as we have them today. 

A life devoid of problems and tensions will lack the strength and courage. As day takes birth from the womb of night, in the same manner, joy takes birth from the womb of sorrow. In this world everything is perishable and changeable. One thing goes away and that makes the way for other thing or situation to arrive / set in and have its say ……….

"Things don't just go wrong and break your heart so you can become bitter and give up. They happen to break you down for a brief period only, to change the climate and then build you up, make you strong and rejuvenated, re-energised to face the innumerable challenges of life, so that you can be all that you were intended to be, by the supreme master, i.e. almighty GOD!! Apart from this, seasons change to change the climates, to bring different things required by us. Some fruits ripen-up in summer and others in winter, similarly all other vegetables and dry fruits do, which we eat from time to time, to sustain our life. God is the supreme artist and he does not do any thing for nothing. There are thousands of schemes and objects of God which we are simply oblivious for us all. Just take them and accept in our life as they come, don’t find fault with God, He is simply INFALLIBLE !!!"
