DISASTERS - EARTHQUAKE Himachal Pradesh - Kangra Valley April 04, 1905:   An earthquake hit the Kangra valley in Himachal Pradesh killed about 20,000 and destroyed most buildings in Kangra, Mcleodganj and Dharamshala. The earthquake measured 7.8 on the surface wave magnitude scale.
