INDIA - DEMOGRAPHY TRANSGENDERS April 04, 2017:   A new era for the transgenders started on this day, when K. Prithika Yashini joined the Tamil Nadu police force after completing her one-year training, thereby becoming the first transgender person to become a police officer in India.
