YANA GUPTA April 23 - Birthday Yana Gupta (born 23 April 1979) is a Czech model, actress and author working in Mumbai. She started her modelling career at the age of 16, and after graduating in Park Architecture and Gardening, she left for Japan, where she modeled for a considerable period of time. After sometime she came to India, where she spent her initial years at the Osho’s Meditation centre in Pune. It was there where she also got married (changing her last name to Gupta). In 2001 she entered the Indian modelling scene and became the brand ambassador of the largest Indian cosmetic brand Lakme. In 2003 she made her entry into Bollywood.
