- Jun 12, 1930: Angry over
the patriotic stance of the Raipur District Council under
his presidentship, the local authorities dissolved the
Raipur District Council and asked the District Collector to
manage the Council.
- Oct 19, 1930: Despite being
imprisoned, he was again elected president of Raipur
District Council again on this day.
- Oct 24, 1930: Unhappy at
the election of Pandit Shukla as President of the Raipur
District Council, the State Govt took over the Council for
three years.
- Mar 08, 1934: The Council's
work was again handed over by the State Government to Pandit
Shukla on this day. He got all the patriotic programmes of
the Council restarted which were closed by the Government
- April 27, 1946 to January 25, 1950 - He was the Premier
of the Central Provinces and Berar.
- January 26, 1950 to October 31, 1956 - He was the Chief
Minister of Madhya Pradesh state.
- November 01, 1956 to December 31, 1956 - He was the
first chief minister of the reorganised Madhya Pradesh
state.
