
About Prof. Dr. Rishi S. Raj
Professor Dr.
Rishi S. Raj was born in Moga, Punjab (India), He was educated in USA, Russia
and India. He has been teaching Mechanical Engineering at the City University of
New York for the past 33 years, He has also served as a Dean and President of
Faculty Senate in the same university.
He has been a
Distinguished Fellow of ASEE-US Navy, NASA, a technical specialist in the US
Army and a consultant to several companies and UNO.
Professor Raj
served as a chairman of the Coal Utilization Commttee of ASME's Gas Turbine
Division and organized many technical sessions for international conferences.
His research
interests include turbulence, aerodynamics, turbomachinery, philosophy and
metaphysics.
Professor Raj has
authored and co-authored a number of books, such as:

He has produced
many Ph.D. and MS students.
He has
served on the New Jersey State Board of Engineers and Land Sureyors.
He has been
internationally honoured as an expert on Turbomachines, Mathematics of human
body and for discovering Gibbs Time and Gibbs Number to quantify explosion and
implosion.
Professor Raj is
the founder of the Society of Indian Academics in America (SIAA) and was its
first President. He has lectured extensively in India, Russia, Australia,
Isreal, UK, Germany, Canada, Holland, Belgium and in USA.
