It’s a uniqoe compilation of alectronic book which is intended to refresh one’s memory about the world’s history that is too vital to be ignored or forgotten. For most of us, History is a boring subject to read. Therefore, one needs special facilitations or tools to grasp the ocean-like wide gamut of world history.

 

We see most of the people, most of the time, keep themselves engaged in either living the present or planning for the future, completely or partly ignoring the need to devote some time to go through and learn our past history. There might be hundreds of reasons, thoroughly valid, for their doing so. Yet for doing adequate justice to the process of our living the present and/or planning for the future, there are valid reasons that tell us to pay due attention to knowing, if not learning, the history of the past. These reasons include:

 

1. History provides a vast gamut of information about the patterns of behaviour of the people and socities in general, in varying situations and circumstances and environments.
2. Needless to emphasize that our present was shaped by our past. So also is the fact that by living our present currently, we are actually engaged in shaping our future.  Thus when our future becomes the present, by then our current present will have become its past, which had been responsible for shaping it.
3. No doubt, the present is the most important of all tenses. But no denying the fact that the present is constantly and continually getting converted into its past. In fact this very sentence which I have just finished, was also written in the past. So one can derive that past is no less important than the present and consequently, the future too.
4. Consider a ladder by using which you can go to a higher lever above the ground. The ladder is your present, by using which you go to your future. On the other hand, the ground on which your ladder stands is your past. In order to successfully ride the ladder and go to the higher level, we have to ensure that the ground on which the ladder stands is firm and supportworthy, otherwise neither riding the ladder (equivalent of living the present) nor reaching the highher target level (equivalent of buiding the future) might not be possible because the base of the ladder might slip or sink. So knowledge of the past is extremely vital for living a healthy present and reshaping a bright future.

 

These are just a few of the hundreds and thousand justifications for paying attention to the past history. Nonetheless, the fact remains that the food of history is not tasty enough to eat because of lack of spices. This is the core area which has been attempted to be attended by this book which provides the medium of crossword for learning history.
