INDIA - DEFENCE - TANKS VIJAYANTA TANK December 12, 1965: VIJAYANTA TANK:  On this day, the first Indian military tank (produced with foreign collaboration) was rolled out of the factory at Avadi in Tamil Nadu. India's first fully indigenous tank is 'Arjun' that was rolled out in the year 1993.
