STATUE OF UNITY December 15, 2013:   The Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Rashtriya Ekta Trust of Gujarat organised "Run for Unity" across the country on this day to promote the world's longest "Statue of Unity" of Sardar Patel. The 'Run for Unity' was held at 562 places, the number being that of the princely states Patel integrated into the Indian union in 1947.
