ALIGARH MUSLIM UNIVERSITY May 24, 1875:   Syed Ahmed Khan along with his son Syed Mahmood established a Mohammedan Anglo-Oriental College at Aligarh on this day, which has grown into the present day Aligarh University since 1920.
