Description |
- AMU claims itself as a minority institute
guaranteed under Article 29 and 30 of the Constitution of
India. But Allahabad High Court had struck down
provisions of Aligarh Muslim University Act stating that
AMU is not a minority institution. The
government of India in an ongoing petition has taken its
stand that its a institute of national importance and hence
not a minority institute.
