- November 26, 2008: He
was involved in the 2008 Mumbai attacks in India and was the
only attacker captured alive by police.
- January 2009:
After continued and baseless denials, Pakistan
ultimately was forced by the evidencial circumstances to
accept that he was a Pakistani citizen.
- May 03, 2010: An Indian
court convicted him of murder, waging war on India,
possessing explosives, and other charges.
- May 06, 2010: Kasab was
sentenced to death for attacking Mumbai and killing 166
people on 26 November 2008 along with nine terrorists. He
was found guilty of 80 offences, including waging war
against the nation, which is punishable by the death
penalty.
- February 21, 2011: Kasab's
death sentence was upheld by the Bombay High Court.
- August 29, 2012: The
verdict of his sentence to death was upheld by the Supreme
Court of India.
- November 21, 2012: He was
hanged till death and buried at Yerwada Jail in Pune,
Maharashtra, India.
